Bloggers' quilt festival

This is a german blog but I'm trying my very best, writing in english!
I haven't been at the blogger business for a long time. I'm so often amazed by the great ideas people have! It's so much fun to share things we love.
This bloggers' quilt festival is fun, fun, fun!!

Das bloggers' quilt festival ist sowas wie ein Show and Tell per Internet.
Schaut doch mal auf die Seite und klickt euch durch die vielen schönen Quilts

This blogger's quilt festival is fun, fun, fun!!

Amy's creative side

So here is my littel quilt:

It's made from Lonni Rossi fabrics. She visited us in Munich a few years ago (I work in the quilt shop there). We had a very nice exhibition with her quilts and quilts made made out of her fabrics by our customers. My quilt was not in the exhibition, but I love it nevertheless.
The purple and pink fabrics were a present my boss gave me when she came back from the great quilt market in USA that year.
I wanted to use every piece of the fat quaters and decided to make plane stripes.
The size was great for free mation quilting. So I quilted quotes out of the book "Converstations with God" by Neale Donald Walsh, who impressed my very much by that time.
The yellow patches are morse code.

Guess what it means!

  2. I love the colors, and especially the free motion quilted words. I actually just did this on a quilt myself recently so I know how difficult it is! I haven't posted pictures of mine yet as it's going to be a gift, but I will blog about it this coming weekend. :)
